Establishing Equitable and Transparent Compensation: A Most Diverse Tech Hub workshop

May 11, 2022 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Moving your organization toward pay transparency can be daunting. In this interactive workshop, Crystal Coache, the Chief of Staff of the education nonprofit Urban Teachers, and Jess Gartner, the CEO and founder of Allovue, a Baltimore-based education finance technology company, will guide participants through the initial steps of creating compensation transparency. The facilitators will lead a discussion and activities to explore beliefs about compensation, priorities for compensation processes and structures, and how to navigate the gaps between an organization’s reality and ideal. This workshop is ideal for CEOs or directors of People or Operations who have direct influence over an organization’s systems and processes.

About MDTH:
The Most Diverse Tech Hub initiative began in November 2020, when, determined for Philly to become the most diverse tech hub in the nation, the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Commerce awarded $500,000 across a handful of organizations working to boost tech skills for the future talent pipeline, with a focus on Black and brown Philadelphians.

As a part of their partnership, Technical.ly will be hosting a workshop series with DEI leaders sharing insight and actionable steps on how to build and implement a successful DEI strategy, as part of our involvement with the Most Diverse Tech Hub initiative.
